Breast cancer mortality rates among Black women in the United States are significantly higher than those among White women, despite Black women having a slightly lower incidence of the disease . This disparity has persisted and even widened since the 1980s, largely due to differences in tumor biology and unequal access to early detection and effective treatments . Understanding the complex factors behind these disparities is essential for improving outcomes and reducing mortality among Black women .
